2.Use

Import

The Import function allows you to import a file to 3dsMax and open it in 3dsMax.

Click Import, and the root directory of the current workspace will automatically open. Select your file and import it to 3dsMax.

3dsmax_import

If the file you wish to import is in the current workspace and hasn't been checked out, the system will automatically ask you if you would like to check out the file after it's imported. You may choose to check out or not accordingly.

Export

This function enables you to save any file opened with 3dsMax to a folder of your choice.

Click Export, and the root directory of the current workspace will automatically open. Select your directory to export.

3dsmax_export

Add

This function allows you to add any file opened with 3dsMax to a depot for further actions.

3dsmax_add

Note that the file to be added must be located in the current workspace, and the file hasn't been added to the depot you are connected with.

3dsmax_add_error

Get latest

This function allows you to get the latest version of the file currently opened with 3dsMax, and will restart the import process.

3dsmax_latest

Check out

This function allows you to check out and lock the file that is currently opened with 3dsMax. After being checked out, the file can be modified, saved and submitted. When the file is locked, other users won't be able to modify the file.

Submit

This function allows you to submit the file currently opened with 3dsMax to a depot. You will need to fill out descriptions for your submission.

Note that the file to be submitted must be on the update list.

Revert

This function enables you to revert any unsubmitted operation you have performed on the file currently opened with 3dsMax.

3dsmax_revert

Note that the file that you need to get the latest, check out or revert must be in the current workspace, and has been added to the currently linked depot.

Open a file locally

This function allows you to view your current file in Windows File Manager.

File status

This function allows you to view the status of the file currently opened with 3dsMax.

3dsmax_file_info

History Log

This function allows you to see all previous versions of the currently opened file and choose a version to work on.

Select a previous version that you wish to work on from the table above, and click Get Current Version to modify the file version in your depot. Click Temp View to check the chosen version in a temp directory.

This function enables you to view the default changelist in the current workspace.

This function allows you to change the currently linked depot and workspace.
